The final stage of the Northbourne Village precinct is expected to be released in the first half of 2022.
The aim is to enhance the quality of design for buildings along Canberra’s gateway boulevard and to increase the standard of amenity of the residential apartments they contain.
The Development Application for Stage Three is under review and is slated to be released to market next year.
Northbourne Village Stage 3 will consist of more than 300 residential apartments in two multi-level buildings, in addition to a heritage building which may be repurposed as commercial premises.
The development is proposed as two separate buildings sitting on a common basement. The gap between the two buildings will establish connection between Northbourne Avenue and De Burgh Street and encourage pedestrian movement.
Sustainability principles will be a priority. The buildings will incorporate passive solar design to optimise heat storage in winter and reduce heat transfer in summer. Separation between buildings will reduce overlooking, improving privacy and help to maximise natural light to all apartments. Open spaces on the site will include both landscaped public spaces and shared private spaces for residents.
At JWLand, we take pride in undertaking active and genuine community engagement. We have now completed all phases of Community Consultation for Block 2 Section 115 Lyneham.
